Cotton Duck Hire Terms and Conditions

These Terms and Conditions apply to
Cotton Duck Hire and by making a booking you agree to the terms which
follow.
Bookings
To secure your booking a 50% payment of the total
hire cost should be paid as a non-refundable deposit. The balance will be due 14
days prior to the first day of the hire period date. Bookings taken 14 days
before the hire period or less will need to be paid in full at the time of
booking. A payment of £150 damage deposit, will also be due at the time of
booking, please see 'deposit' below for details. The hire period is 48 hours,
extra days can be discussed at the time of
booking.
Deposit
A refundable damage deposit of £150 will be taken at the time of
booking to cover any damage or loss which may occur. Damaged, broken, lost or
replaced items will be charged at the rate of 5 times the hire cost per item.
All damaged, lost, or broken items must be paid for. If the total damage or loss
exceeds the £150 deposit then a replacement charge for each item therafter will
be charged at a rate of 5 times the hire charge per
item.
All returned checks will be made within 2 working days
after the items are returned or collected. Damage deposits will be returned no
longer than 2 working days after the items are collected or returned. Late
returns are charged daily.
You may wish to take out suitable
insurance as all items hired are the resposibility of the hirer during the hire
period until returned or collected. Any breakages, loss, damage or replacements
will be charged accordingly and discounted from the damage
deposit.
All items should be checked carefully
upon delivery or collection and signed for by the hirer. Any problem must be
brought to our attention at the time of delivery or collection. Cotton Duck Hire
makes every effort to ensure items offered for hire are in excellent condition
and have no cracks, chips or breaks and are deemed suitable for reasonable use.
Please remember that a lot of our items are vintage and will show original and
normal signs of wear. Cotton Duck Hire shall not be responsible for any injury
or damage to persons or property arising from the use of any items inder hire.
All items remain the property of Cotton Duck
Hire.
Cancellations
A full refund will be given should you cancel your booking 28
days or more prior to the first date of the hire period. If the cancellation is
made between 7 days and 28 days before the first day of the hire period then the
charge of 50% (taken on the day of booking) of the total hire charge will not be
returned but the damage and loss deposit will be returned in full. If the
cancellation is made 7 days or less before the first date of the hire period
then no monies will be returned. All cancellations must be given in writing
only.
Delivery
and Collection
Items
for hire can be collected from Country Interiors, Holsworthy or delivered free
within a 10 mile radius of either Okehampton or Holsworthy. Deliveries outside
of the 10 mile radius will incur a charge of 42p per
mile.
Washing Up
Service
Due to the delicate nature
of the hire items, handwashing is essential. If you opt to handwash used goods
yourself and the goods have not been cleaned to a satisfactory level we reserve
the right to charge 10% of the total hire charge after we have notified you by
email or phone. If you do not wish to wash the items yourself then a small 10%
charge of the total hire charge can be paid for a washing up service. All we ask
in this instance is that all items are carefully scraped of food and all liquids
disposed of then wiped over with kitchen towel prior to being repackaged. Please
re-pack very carefully and replace in the hampers as received. Please remember
to re-pack for safe transit, repackaging by ourselves may incur a 10% charge of
the total hire charge.
